You can help me to re-write this book!
I have self-published LOVING MOTHER EARTH, printing only 500 copies. I am distributing them to people that cross my path, and they are available on Amazon. Everyone is invited to give me some helpful feedback which I will then take into heartfelt consideration as I re-write a second-edition. I am a practitioner of "design thinking," which encourages data collection, thematic organization, creative assimilation, and then tweaking one prototype after another until the final product is ready for delivery. This initial 500 copy run is a prototype that seeks your feedback. EMAIL ME with your reflections, comments, challenges, and wonderments. I'll contact you back.
I am also writing stories on Medium about LOVING MOTHER EARTH. Each is then published on Facebook.
ABOUT ME: I am Andy Atwood and I grew up in the New York City Metropolitan Area and moved to Michigan to attend Hope College. Following that I attended Western Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Divinity degree and became an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America. After one year at a "new church start" in Southern California, I returned to Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1974, I co-founded what is today The Fountain Hill Center for Counseling and Consultation. Two more degrees followed. First, a Master of Theology degree from Calvin Theological Seminary, and then I returned to Western Theological Seminary for my Doctor of Ministry degree.
In 1980 I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan. I've had a busy practice as a counselor and coach to many individuals and couples over the years. In 1995, I began to work with Family Owned Businesses and businesses that feel like family.
Between 2007 and 2021, I shared office space with my wife who has been a Bodywork Professional since the late 1990's. Together we have two children, both married, and five delightfully different grandchildren, each of whom is a favorite.
When not at home in Grand Rapids, we enjoy retreating to our "Shack in the Woods" in Oceana County. There it is that I tend to the forest as carefully as most people tend to their gardens.
My professional mission is to "Help People to Get Along and Get Ahead." My personal mission is "To Explore, Map, and Guide people to the Kin-dom of God."
The book, LOVING MOTHER EARTH, was published and printed by PrintNinja - a custom printing company offering affordable, high-quality offset printing and superb customer service. They have helped thousands of customers print their passion projects.
